I believe in the Law of Attraction. I believe the Law of Attraction is an unwritten law that governs the entire universe. The Law of Attraction says “Yes” to everything. The word “No” doesn’t exist in a universe based on attraction. As we look around, we see people’s lives are a reflection of the thoughts they think, the words they speak, and the actions they take. My belief was not created by a book or a video. This concept, which became a belief, has graduated to a knowing, based on the experiences of my life, as a husband, Dad, financial advisor, and high school coach.
The Law of Attraction can be said in many ways. “As you sow, so shall you reap.” “Ask and it is given.” “Seek and you will find.” This law doesn’t discriminate or judge, it just answers requests. In a universe based on attraction we must know that: like attracts like, just like a magnet attracts a metal object. Positive attracts Positive and Negative attracts Negative. When we consistently surround ourselves with positive, we attract positive people, positive events and positive circumstances into our lives. The same holds true with negative. Our thoughts become our beliefs, and our beliefs become our reality. As we look around, we find that our lives are a direct reflection of our beliefs. This is why focusing on the positive is a critical ingredient in becoming a Champion in life. Before we can accomplish anything, we must first believe it is possible. Once we accomplish a goal, we now know it is possible, and the belief has graduated to knowing, which is the strongest ingredient in attracting what we desire.
In the 54 years I have been on this earth, I have experienced many highs and many lows. In 2016, I will be celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary with my wife, Donna. During these 30 years we have raised 3 healthy, energetic, passionate and opinionated children. Our children have been our focus and passion for the past 27 years. We are an extremely close family. Three years ago, at the age of 50, my wife was diagnosed with colon cancer. The cancer which started in her colon had also traveled to her liver. In cancer speak, she was diagnosed with stage-4 cancer. There is no stage-5! In a later blog post, I will discuss how we, as a family, used the Power of Positive, as well as the Power of Focus (focusing only on those things that we could control) to help her defeat this deadly disease. Finally, I will share the many stories and successes that helped to build a high school softball powerhouse in a tiny community in Central California. I will go into detail how we used the Power of Love, Power of Commitment and the Power of Positive to create an environment to help teenagers believe in themselves and each other. I will share how ordinary student-athletes earned the right to be called Champions for life.
I believe in and teach the Power of Positive. We are all blessed to have choices and freedoms in life. We are free to choose our own thoughts. We are free to choose the words we speak. We are free to choose the actions we take. We are also free to choose the people we associate with. For the past 12 years I have been using the Power of Positive to Awaken the Champion inside teenagers on my teams. The purpose of this blog is to share some of the strategies which we have implemented over the years to build championship teams and create self confident young leaders.
My mission now is to create a community, where anyone who desires more for their life can come to share and learn. I believe that anyone can be, do and have anything they desire during this lifetime. I also believe that everyone wants to have high self-esteem (believing in themselves) and self-confidence (believing in what they do). I am not a published author. I am not a psychologist or doctor. I am simply a person who used to be very shy with low self esteem, who has devoted the past 25 years to learning how to overcome destructive mental habits. I am passionate about helping others who feel the way I used to feel. Through this website and blog, I am committed to sharing ideas and strategies that have worked in my life and with my athletes. Strategies on how we can overcome self defeating thoughts so we can begin building a positive present. As we remain focused in the present, on those things we can control: Our Attitude, Effort and Positive Energy, we begin to create the kind of momentum that moves us towards the life we deserve.
